Travel assistance
Financial assistance may be available for SATs required to travel away from their usual place of residence to attend off-the-job training with their training organisation.
Eligible SATs may receive assistance for their travel to and from required training.
Where training is undertaken on a block release basis, they may also be eligible for a daily accommodation subsidy during the training.
The education sectors, i.e. Education Queensland, Queensland Catholic Education Commission, and the Association of Independent Schools of Queensland, will consider travel and accommodation claims by SATs on a case-by-case basis.
An application by the SAT should be made directly to the relevant education sector.
