Testimonials from business
Bossy Hair
Bossy Hair have helped many hairdressing apprentices work towards their chosen career.
Michele McGahan, owner of Bossy Hair Windsor, enjoys teaching her apprentices the ins and outs of hairdressing. She says one of the highlight experiences of employing apprentices is nominating them in the local colouring competition where one of her apprentices came third.
Michele says that apprentices are the backbone of the business. It gives her a great sense of satisfaction to not only see them progress in their career but also to put something back into keeping the industry going.
Dolci Sapori
With one completed apprenticeship under their belts, Dolci Sapori, an Italian desserts and pastries boutique based in Brisbane, are happy to continue to train future pastry chefs.
Dolci Sapori currently have two Pastry Cooking apprentices in their employment, both at different levels of their apprenticeships. Why do they continue to employ apprentices? 'It's good to be able to pass on valuable information and training'.
Aladino Pozzebon, the owner of Dolci Sapori and their Pastry Chef, Elizabeth Day agree that seeing their apprentices' progress from knowing practically nothing to working autonomously is a worthwhile experience. 'It's good to have the apprentice willing to learn and also willing to 'do''.
